Body
WHEREAS, the Pick Up Truck Overtime STEP Enforcement Project conducted by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office has been awarded funds up to $3,000.00 from the Missouri Safety Center; and,
WHEREAS, this project promotes seat belt usage among drivers of pick up trucks; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will cover overtime expenses for the STEP enforcement project during the week of May 6 to May 12, 2007; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2007 Grant Fund to cover the Pick Up Truck Overtime STEP Enforcement Project for the Jackson County Sheriff's Office funded by the Missouri Safety Center:
