BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
A 30 ± acre tract of land generally located ½ ± mile south of Allen Road on the east side of Hoover Road and specifically described as all that part of the Northwest quarter and the Southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 50, Range 30 in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Northwest quarter of Section 17, Township 50, Range 30; thence South 03 degrees 28 minutes 30 seconds West along the West line of said Northwest quarter a distance of 1985.17 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence South 88 degrees 41 minutes 05 seconds East a distance of 1339.05 feet to a point on the East line of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 17; thence South 03 degrees 32 minutes 15 seconds West along said East line a distance of 660.00 feet to the Northeast corner of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 17; thence South 03 degrees 27 minutes 38 seconds West along the East line of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 17 a distance of 339.59 feet; thence North 88 degrees 41 minutes 05 seconds West a distance of 1337.22 feet to a point on the West line of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 17; thence North 03 degrees 24 minutes 24 seconds East along said West line a distance of 339.53 feet to the Southwest corner of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 17; thence North 03 degrees 24 minutes 24 seconds East along the West line of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section 17 a distance of 659.99 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 30.68 acres.
Section 2. The preliminary plat "Hoover Estates - 2nd Plat," creating a five-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Ken Willey (RZ-2007-426), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on March 15, 2007, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
