AN ORDINANCE transferring $10,373.00 within the 2007 General Fund, appropriating $31,762.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2007 Grant Fund, and authorizing an extension of the Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Violence Grant funded by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3725, dated December 5, 2005, the Legislature did authorize the execution of Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Blue Springs and extensions to the Memoranda of Understanding with the cities of Lee's Summit and Independence, relating to those cities' participation in the Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Violence Program, partially funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ); and,
WHEREAS, the cities have received an additional $21,389.00 in grant funding, in the aggregate; and,
WHEREAS, additional matching funds from the County are required in the amount of $10,373.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation and transfer; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be made:
