Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Jackson County Code section 9140.00, the Legislature may authorize by resolution a contract with one or more qualified experts to advise the Board of Equalization; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 9141.00, of the Jackson County Code, the Legislative Auditor has heretofore prepared a request for proposals and has mailed same to potential, interested parties; and,
WHEREAS, the selection committee provided by section 9142.00, of the Jackson County Code, consisting of the Finance and Audit Committee and the Manager of the Division of Finance, with the aid of Legislative Auditor, has reviewed the proposals and has recommended the retention of Mike Harmon and Kathy Allen-Gray to provide services as advisors to the Board of Equalization at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $15,000.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is authorized to execute the appropriate agreements with Mike Harmon and Kathy Allen-Gray, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the agreements.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
