A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with the Kansas City Area Development Council to provide a current profile of Jackson County at a cost to the County not to exceed $24,950.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County is in need of a current profile of Jackson County, including economic and demographic information and a current inventory of available development sites and buildings; and,
WHEREAS, the profile will be published on the Kansas City Area Development Council ("KCADC") website at www.smartkc.com
and will be linked to the Economic Development page of the Jackson County website at www.jacksongov.org; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the KCADC propose to enter into an Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, whereby the Council will provide said information; and,
WHEREAS, the cost to the County under this Agreement is $24,950.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
