Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force is in need of surveillance equipment for departmental use; and,

WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force has determined that Sirchie Finger Print Laboratories is the sole manufacturer of components required for installation in a surveillance vehicle and that such equipment is compatible with equipment used by the Missouri Highway Patrol; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1040.1 and 1063. of the Jackson County Code, 1984,the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of a contract for the furnishing and installation of surveillance equipment as a sole source purchase for use by the Jackson County Drug Task Force to Sirchie Finger Print Laboratories of Medford, NJ at a cost to the County not to exceed $70,213.00; and,


WHEREAS, the Drug Task Force requests a transfer of $70,213.00 within the 2005 Anti-Drug Tax Fund to accomplish this purchase; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the following transfer be and hereby is made:
