Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal bids under Bid No. 37-04 for the furnishing of lawn maintenance equipment and small engine replacement parts and service for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:

Lawn & Leisure $45,000.00
Lee's Summit, MO
Northeast Lawnmower $17,600.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Van Wall Equipment $50,500.00
Olathe, KS
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that awards under Bid No. 37-04 be made to Lawn & Leisure of Lee's Summit, MO, in an amount not to exceed $45,000.00, Northeast Lawnmower of Kansas City, MO, in an amount not to exceed $17,600.00, and Van Wall Equipment of Olathe, KS, in an amount not to exceed $50,500.00, at a total estimated aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $113,100.00, as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
