Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 46-04 for the furnishing of pest control services for use by the Facilities Management Department to provide for the Facilities Management Department's needs for quarterly services for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has received only three (3) response to bid thereon from the following:
VENDOR BID
Ragan Pest Control $2,292.00 (quarterly)
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Biggs Pest Control, Inc. $1,346.80 (quarterly)
Lee's Summit, MO
Lawrence Pest Control, Inc. $1,420.00 (quarterly)
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, upon past history of performance by Biggs Pest Control and a reference check with Kansas City, MO of the performance of Lawrence Pest Control, the Purchasing Director has recommended that the award be made to Ragan Pest Control of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award for the furnishing of pest control services for use by the Facilities Management Department be made to Ragan Pest Control of Kansas City, MO, in the estimated amount not to exceed $10,000.00 as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
