WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited electronic bids on under Electronic Solicitation No. BB200477 for the furnishing of cold asphaltic concrete mix & patching material for use by the Parks & Recreation and the Public Works Departments provide for the needs fo those two departments for an upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has received three (3) responses to bid thereon from the following:

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that an award be made to Carter-
Waters Corporation of Kansas City, MO in an estimated annual amount not to exceed $15,000.00 and an additional award be made to Vance Brothers, Inc. of Kansas City, MO, in an estimated annual amount of $35,000.00, for a total estimated aggregate annual amount not to exceed $50,000.00, for the reason that two bidders have submitted the overall lowest and best bids; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that contracts be awarded for the furnishing of cold asphaltic concrete mix & patching material for use by the Parks & Recreation and the Public Works Departments for a twelve (12) month term to Carter-Waters Corporation of Kansas City, MO in an estimated annual amount not to exceed $15,000.00 and to Vance Brothers, Inc. of Kansas City, MO, in an estimated annual amount of $35,000.00 for a total estimated aggregate annual amount not to exceed $50,000.00., and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
