Body
WHEREAS, §730 of the Jackson County Code requires all officers and employees of the County to be residents of Jackson County, Missouri, and sets forth procedures for the waiver of same by the County Legislature in the case of non-merit employees; and,
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation Director Gary Salva has requested a waiver of said residency requirement; and,
WHEREAS, it would be a hardship on the employee if a waiver of the residency requirement were not to be granted; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature does hereby waive the residency requirement of non-merit employee Gary Salva based upon the best interests of Jackson County for one-year from the date of adoption of this Resolution.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
