Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public safety has awarded a grant to the Prosecuting Attorney's office to cover the salary and benefits of a Victim Advocate for its Victim Services Program, in the amount of $36,512.00; and,
WHEREAS, said grant is subject to a 20% local match or $9,128.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the General Fund and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2004 Grant Fund be made to cover the Victim of Crime Act grant for the Prosecuting Attorney's office funded by the Missouri Department of Public Safety and the transfer of matching funds:
