AN ORDINANCE transferring $11,748.00 from the Prosecuting Attorney's General Fund account, transferring $4,519.00 from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund, and appropriating $48,349.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2004 Grant Fund to cover the cost of the State Services to Victims Fund Grant for the Prosecuting Attorney's office funded by the Missouri Department of Public Safety and the transfer of required matching funds.

Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public safety has awarded a grant to the Prosecuting Attorney's office to cover the salary and benefits of a Volunteer Coordinator/Victim Advocate for its Victim Services Program, in the amount of $32,082.00; and,
WHEREAS, said grant is subject to a $16,267.00 local match; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer from the General Fund and the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund to the Grant Fund, and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2004 Grant Fund be made to cover the State Services to Victims Fund grant for the Prosecuting Attorney's office funded by the Missouri Department of Public Safety and the transfer of matching funds:
