Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County employees are necessary individuals and important to the work of the County; and,

WHEREAS, the proposed 2005 budget as submitted by the County Executive provides for a merit increase pool of 3% of all direct compensation for County employees; and,

WHEREAS, the merit increase pool would be allocated on a discretionary basis for individual employee performance; and,

WHEREAS, the merit increase pool does not guarantee that every County employee will receive a 3% increase or any other increase in their compensation; and,

WHEREAS, the cost of living continues to increase; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature authorizes a salary increase of 3% for all Jackson County employees effective February 15, 2005 in substitution for the 3% merit increase pool and subject to appropriation in the 2005 budget.


Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
