INTRODUCED BY Dan Tarwater, County Legislator

WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has approved the use of additional Federal Medicaid funds for Substance Abuse Services for Jackson County residents; and,

WHEREAS, the County must provide $500,000.00 from Anti-Drug Sales Tax funds as a local match for Medicaid Substance Abuse Services which will be deposited in the State of Missouri's Mental Health Trust fund; therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation of $500,000.00 be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2004 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund enabling the Director of Finance to issue payment in the amount of $500,000.00:
