AN ORDINANCE transferring $100,000.00 within the 2003 Public Building Corporation Fund, appropriating $200,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2003 Grant Fund, and authorizing the County Executive to execute a Grant Agreement with Landmarks Historic Trust Corporation in acceptance of a grant for the preservation and renovation of the downtown courthouse in the amount of $100,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, Landmarks Historic Trust Corporation (LHTC) provides funding for the preservation and renovation of historically significant buildings within the downtown loop of Kansas City; and,
WHEREAS, recognizing the significance of the Jackson County Courthouse, LHTC has awarded the County a grant in the amount of $100,000.00, for the preservation and renovation of the courthouse; and,
WHEREAS, said grant is subject to a $100,000.00 local match; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation and transfer; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2003 Public Building Corporation Fund and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2003 Grant Fund be made:
