Body
WHEREAS, Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. has requested permission to install a telephone equipment station on a 100 sq. ft. portion of the County parking lot located at the southeast corner of Osage and Kansas Streets in Independence, Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, Southwestern Bell has agreed to pay compensation in the amount of $3,600.00 for the easement granting this permission; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Facilities Management has determined that the installation of the equipment station would not have a significant negative impact on the utility or capacity of the parking lot and so recommends the grant of the easement; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Easement for Equipment Station in favor of Southwestern Bell Telephone, and any and all other documents necessary to accomplish this transaction.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
