Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 3-02 for the furnishing of maintenance for Motorola mobile radios to provide for countywide needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon bids from the following:

Commenco $18,609.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
KC Wireless $26,609.00
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing estimates annual usage of this contract in the amount of $38,609.00, which includes funds for miscellaneous work not covered under the maintenance agreements included in the bid price; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
