Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12950, dated November 22, 1999, the Legislature authorized a contract with Health Productivity Systems of Kansas City, MO, for the furnishing of urinalysis testing for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court programs; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has recommended an increase to this contract in the amount of $100,000.00, and that the term of this Agreement be extended through July 31, 2001, in order to allow Health Productivity Systems to continue providing urinalysis services to participants of the Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court programs; and,

WHEREAS, the attached first Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the Prosecuting Attorney's recommendation in this regard; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached First Addendum to Agreement with Health Productivity Systems of Kansas City, MO; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments on the Agreement, as amended.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
