Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written proposals on Request for Proposals No. 75-00 for the furnishing of an inmate pay telephone system and services for use by the Corrections Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received proposals from the following:

Sprint Payphone Services, Inc.
Overland Park, KS

Consolidated Communications Public Services
Mattoon, IL

Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Public Communications Services
Los Angeles, CA


and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends award of the contract be made to Sprint Payphone Services, Inc., of Overland Park, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the best proposal as set forth in the attached analysis; and,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to Sprint Payphone Services, Inc., of Overland Park, KS, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
