Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to § 141.790.2, RSMo 1994, the Land Trust of Jackson County has distributed to Jackson County the sum of $14,000.00, representing the County's share of the proceeds of the sale by Land Trust of the Vista del Rio apartment building in Kansas City; and,

WHEREAS, the Land Trust has requested, pursuant to § 141.770.3, RSMo 1994, that this sum be refunded by the County to Land Trust for its use in meeting its statutory obligations; and,

WHEREAS, the return of these funds to Land Trust for its use in meeting its statutory obligations is in the best interests of the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; and,

WHEREAS, in order to fund this expenditure, an appropriation is necessary; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her 2000 recommended County budget; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 General Fund be and hereby is made:
