IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 29-96 for the furnishing of crushed rock for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to Barber & Sons Aggregates of Kansas City, MO, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one year period, in the estimated amount of $373,453.60. Intro RESOLUTION 11237, April 1, 1996 INTRODUCED BY John C. Graham, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 29-96 for the furnishing of crushed rock for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one year period; and, WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following: VENDOR BID (Based on Estimated Usage) Barber & Sons Aggregates $373,453.60 Kansas City (Jackson County), MO Metropolitan Quarries $387,974.25 Harrisonville, MO Ash Grove Aggregates, Inc. $479,341.35 Overland Park, KS and, WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Barber & Sons Aggregates of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriation to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
