Body
WHEREAS, Renaissance West, Inc. was founded in 1970 as a not-for- profit substance abuse treatment program; and,
WHEREAS, the services provided by Renaissance West, Inc. have greatly expanded over the years to include outpatient, residential and aftercare treatment, as well as family counseling and special treatment programs for women and children; and,
WHEREAS, Renaissance West, Inc. is now one of Kansas City's oldest and most successful comprehensive substance abuse treatment programs with proven results of making our community healthier and safer; and,
WHEREAS, supporters will gather to salute Renaissance West, Inc. and commemorate its twenty-fifth anniversary on September 20, 1995, at 3:00 p.m. at the Bruce Watkins Cultural Center; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri does hereby congratulate Renaissance West, Inc. on providing twenty-five years of diligent service of improving the quality of life in the Greater Kansas City community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
