IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE setting the 1995 merchants/ and manufacturers' inventory replacement tax levy. Intro ORDINANCE # 2452, September 11, 1995 INTRODUCED BY John Patrick Burnett, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, Missouri Constitution, article X, section 6 and section 139.600, RSMo 1986, provide for a tax levy to be charged against the assessed valuation of real property listed in subclass 3 (Utility, industrial, commercial and railroad property) of class one property (real estate), to replace revenues lost from the exemption of merchants' and manufacturers' inventories; and, WHEREAS, this replacement levy has been calculated in accordance with section 139.600, RSMo 1986; therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the 1995 replacement levy is $1.437 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of real property in subclass 3 of class one property. Attorney Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
