Body
WHEREAS, on June 10,1992, Jackson County adopted Ordinance 2101, enacting Chapter 54, Jackson County Code, 1984, which contains the building code for the unincorporated area of the County and provisions for the issuance of permits and collection of fees; and,
WHEREAS, the building code is necessary to provide minimum building standards to safeguard life, health, property and public welfare within the unincorporated area of the County; and,
WHEREAS, Inter-City Fire District No. 1 has personnel trained to perform building inspections and conduct plan reviews; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County and Inter-City Fire District No. 1 that the district perform plan review and building inspection services utilizing existing staff, as agents of the County, as is more fully set out in the attached agreement; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute the attached agreement with the Inter- City Fire District No.1 on behalf of the County.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
