Body
WHEREAS, the AdHoc Group Against Crime has submitted a funding proposal to support their efforts in addressing violence within our community which is a nationally recognized public health issue; and,

WHEREAS, the mission of the AdHoc Group Against Crime is to be a community resource that, through crisis interventions and prevention, supports youth and families who are impacted by criminal behavior; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the AdHoc Group Against Crime, is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the AdHoc Group Against Crime, in the amount of $50,000, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.


Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
