Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4164, dated October 26, 2009, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the 2009 Recovery Act Justice Assistance Grant (JAG), received from the U. S. Department of Justice to be used by the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office to provide funding for salaries and benefits for employees for the Jackson County Drug Court and Re-Entry Pilot Program; and,

WHEREAS, the County and the U.S. Department of Justice now desire to extend the grant to continue to provide funding for salaries and benefits for the employees through June 30, 2013, at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the 2009 Recovery Act Justice Assistance Grant, received from the U.S. Department of Justice, be and hereby is extended until June 30, 2013; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Prosecuting Attorney and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to the extension.


Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
