Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance #1771, #1795 and #1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and,

WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has reviewed a proposal from the Kansas City Community Center to provide residential treatment services for substance abusers; and,

WHEREAS, the Kansas City Community Center has received funding in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994 for this program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and,

WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed this 1995 proposal from the Kansas City Community Center; and,

WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended funding in the amount of $225,000 from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax for Kansas City Community Center's proposal; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to enter into the attached agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with the Kansas City Community Center.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
