Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15708, dated November 28, 2005, the County did authorize the County Executive to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Services, at a cost to the County not to exceed $281,205.00, to provide for a substance abuse treatment program for inmates of the Jackson County Detention Center, with an option to renew the contract for the 2007 fiscal year at an agreed-upon rate; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16248, dated May 16, 2007, the County did renew the contract for the 2007 fiscal year, at a cost to the County not to exceed $132,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Corrections now recommends a renewal of the contract with Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Services, a division of Truman Medical Center, Inc., at a cost to the County not to exceed $66,000.00, for the first six months of the 2008 fiscal year as outlined in the attached Cooperative Agreement; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the attached Cooperative Agreement with Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Services; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
