Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 51-98 for the furnishing of pontoon boats for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, due to the different types of construction at the marinas which will utilize these boats, Longview and Jacomo, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for the design of boat suitable for each marina; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the actual awards for the respective vendors as follows:
VENDOR AWARD
Sportsman Outfitters $31,600.00
Lee's Summit, MO
Playcraft Boat Company $29,946.00
Richland, MO
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
