Body
WHEREAS, the Director of the Health Department recommends acceptance of the transfer of ownership of a Mass Prophylactic trailer (MPT) from the Mid America Regional Council (MARC), under the Homeland Security Urban Area Security Initiative Fund grant, No. 76320; and,
WHEREAS, this trailer and its contents, valued at a total of $70,000.00, will enhance the Health Department's capability to respond to a public health emergency or disaster; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends acceptance of such transfer of ownership; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the transfer of ownership of the MPT is authorized and the County Executive is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of transfer.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
