AN ORDINANCE transferring $1,100.00 within the 2016 Special Road and Bridge Fund, appropriating $410,253.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2016 Grant Fund, awarding a contract on Bid No. PW 07-2016 for the Browning Road Bridge Replacement Project, No. 3046, Federal Project BRO-NBIL-048(54) to Redford Construction of Raymore, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $410,253.00, and authorizing the Director of Public Works to approve line item adjustments under this contract at no additional cost to the County.

Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4628, dated June 9, 2014, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission ("the Commission") in connection with the Browning Road Bridge Replacement Project, No. 3046; and,
WHEREAS, this project is part of the Federal Highway Administration's Off-System Bridge and Rehabilitation Program, in coordination with the Commission, which requires the County to fund the project up front, but provides for reimbursement of 80 percent of the costs; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19114, dated March 28, 2016, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Letter of Understanding with Lafayette County to trade federal funds for part of the 20 percent match credit for the County's portion of costs related to this program; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works solicited proposals for this project on Bid No. PW 07-2016 and received eight submissions thereon, with the three lowest and best bids as follows:
