Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 14204, dated June 3, 2002, the County entered into a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Independence, Selsa Road, Inc., and the Little Blue Community Improvement District for the Little Blue Trace Park, governing development at the park and adjacent commercial property; and,
WHEREAS, in connection with this project, the City of Independence has requested an easement in order to construct a bridge on Jackson Drive across the Little Blue River; and,
WHEREAS, the easement requested, a copy of which is attached hereto, includes a storm drainage easement across land totaling 0.045 acres in area and a temporary construction easement across 0.114 acres; and,
WHEREAS, the granting of this easement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Grant of Easement for Storm Drainage Facility in favor of the City of Independence, Missouri.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
