WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 163-96 for for the service and repair of HVAC equipment for use by the Facilities Management Department to provide for county-wide needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,

WHEREAS, the bidders who submitted the two lowest bids did not meet the criteria of the using department; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has received as the next lowest three bids thereon, bids from the following:

U.S. Engineering Co $52/hr./$81/hr. overtime

and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Lippert Mechanical Services Corporation of Kansas City, for Missouri, the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid as set forth in the attached analysis; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the...
