AN ORDINANCE appropriating $19,647.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2001 Grant Fund to cover the grant received from the Mid-America Regional Council Solid Waste Management District for the development of employee and vendor waste reduction and recycling manuals and the transfer of matching funds and authorizing the County Executive to execute a Grant Assistance Agreement with the district relating to said grant.

Body
WHEREAS, the County has been awarded a grant in the amount of $16,147.00 by the Mid-America Regional Council Solid Waste Management District to cover the cost of development of employee and vendor waste reduction and recycling manuals; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Grant Assistance Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to effect the acceptance of the grant proceeds; and,
WHEREAS, the grant is subject to a $3,500.00 local match; and,
WHEREAS, in order to place the grant proceeds and matching funds in the proper spending accounts, an appropriation and transfer are necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation and transfer; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
