Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 12-96 for the furnishing of tree trimming service for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR
Shawnee Mission Tree Service
Shawnee Mission, KS
Lindesay Lawn & Tree Service Co.
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Shawnee Mission Tree Service of Shawnee Mission, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid as set out in the attached recapitalization; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriation to the using spending agency has heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
