BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. A conditional use permit for a period of seven years to operate a kennel is hereby approved as to a certain tract of land described as follows:
Description: A 10 ± acre tract of land generally located 1/10 of a mile north of Missouri State Highway 150 on the east side of Harris Road and specifically described as:
The North on-half of the South 41 acres of the East 82 acres of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 25, Township 47, Range 31 in Jackson County, Missouri, except that part lying southeasterly of the southerly right of way line of Outer Belt Road (also known as Missouri State Highway No. 150) and except that part in the East ½ of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 25 that lies northerly of the northerly right of way line of said Outer Belt Road and except that part in said Outer Belt Road, aka 14505 S. Harris Road.
Section 2. The permit approved by this Ordinance is subject to the following conditions:
The number of dogs kept on the property is limited to twenty (20);
The applicant shall comply with the animal establishment standards in section 4543. of the Jackson County Code; and
The kennel shall not be used as a breeding operation.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Dana Savorelli, (CU-2003-174), requesting approval embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on December 18, 2003, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exe...
