Body
WHEREAS, the National Committee for Quality Health Care (NCQHC) is a broadly based coalition of hospitals, hospital systems, and health care organizations; and,
WHEREAS, in 1993 the NCQHC initiated the National Quality Health Care Award to recognize excellence in hospitals and health care systems; and,
WHEREAS, St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City has been selected as 1997's National Quality Health Care Award recipient; and,
WHEREAS, recognition and congratulations go out to St. Luke's Hospital for having won this prestigious award and for its continual striving for excellence as a quality health care system serving the citizens of Kansas City, Jackson County, and surrounding communities; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City upon its receipt of the prestigious 1997 National Quality Health Care Award.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
