RESOLUTION NO. 18121, March 18, 2013

INTRODUCED BY Dan Tarwater, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18036, dated November 27, 2012, the Legislature authorized an agreement for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office's No Violence Alliance Project (No VA), a collaborative initiative between key law enforcement leaders in Kansas City to reduce violent crime in Kansas City's urban core through a mix of law enforcement and social service components; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office recommends a Cooperative Agreement with the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission for the furnishing of a fiscal agent to perform administrative services in connection with the NoVA Project, at a cost to the County not to exceed $5,831.00; and,

WHEREAS, the fiscal agent will lead and guide the caseworkers needed to coordinate social service resource delivery and case management for NoVA clients; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the necessary funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfers; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers within the 2013 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
