AN ORDINANCE transferring $157,667.00 within the 2006 Park Fund, appropriating $630,667.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund, and authorizing the County Executive to execute a Program Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for Little Blue Trace Bicycle Trail improvements.

Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded a grant in the amount of $473,000.00 for the Little Blue Trace Bicycle Trail improvements, under the 2006 Transportation Enhancement Program administered by the Missouri Department of Transportation; and,
WHEREAS, these funds are subject to a local match in the amount of $157,667.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the matching and grant funds in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Program Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to give effect to the intent of the parties in this matter; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
