Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids under the terms and conditions of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200824 for the furnishing of dump bodies, hydraulics, snow plows, and spreaders for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of eleven (11) solicitations were distributed, and two (2) responses were received as follows:
VENDOR BID
American Equipment, Kansas City, KS $203,536.00
Kranz of Kansas City, Kansas City (Jackson), MO $205,822.00
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended that award be made to American Equipment for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
