Body
WHEREAS, the Fort Osage Fire Protection District has received one new siren to cover the entire area of Buckner, which will replace two sirens in Buckner; and,
WHEREAS, the Fire District desires to relocate these two sirens to cover the Fort Osage School District Twyman Road complex and the Atherton area; and,
WHEREAS, the Fire District has determined that costs for this relocation project will be $2,500.00 per siren, and committed $1,250.00 to fund part of the relocation project; and,
WHEREAS, the Fire District has requested payment from the County in the amount of $3,750.00 to cover the additional costs of this storm siren relocation project; and,
WHEREAS, the Fire Protection District continue to be responsible for the maintenance and repair costs of the storm sirens, in the approximate cost of $500 annually; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make a one time payment to the Fort Osage Fire Protection District, to assist in its storm siren relocation project, in the amount of $3,750.00.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
