WHEREAS, by Resolution 15717, dated December 5, 2005, the County awarded twelve-month term and supply contracts for the furnishing of pipe and plumbing supplies for use countywide, to Ferguson Enterprises of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, and Reeves-Wiedeman Co. of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, under the terms and conditions of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200547, as the lowest and best bidders; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing now recommends that she be authorized to execute twelve-month extensions of the contracts with Ferguson Enterprises of Kansas City, MO, and Reeves-Wiedeman Co. of Kansas City, MO, commencing December 13, 2006, and terminating December 12, 2007, under the terms and conditions of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200547; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extensions be authorized as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the extensions; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and subsequent extensions, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
