Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Department has a surplus vehicle that has become obsolete, further described and itemized in the document attached hereto, marked as Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the Prairie Township Fire Protection District has requested that this vehicle be given to the district; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that said property be declared surplus and transferred to the district; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the vehicle at the Sheriff's Department, further described and itemized in Exhibit A, be declared surplus, and that the Director of Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it pursuant to Chapter 11, Jackson County Code, 1984.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the vehicle be transferred to Prairie Township Fire Protection District without compensation pursuant to Section 1137.2 of the Jackson County Code, 1984.
Fiscal Note
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
