Body
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice has awarded the Jackson County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force ("Task Force") a grant in the amount of $360,127.00 for use during the period of July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007 which requires a match from Jackson County in the amount of $90,031.75; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary so that the proceeds of the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force Grant and required matching funds can be placed in the proper spending accounts; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby are made:
