Body
WHEREAS, Kristin Gilmore, a senior at Blue Springs South High School, proudly represented her school and achieved her own personal victory on January 9, 1999; and,
WHEREAS, as a member of the Jaguars, Kristin scored 32 points in a basketball game against the Blue Springs High School Wildcats; and,
WHEREAS, Kristin has played on the varsity team for three years, and is listed in "Who's Who in America" in high school athletics; and,
WHEREAS, Kristin is not only an outstanding athlete, but holds a grade point average of 3.2; and,
WHEREAS, in 1998 Kristin was selected and participated in the National AAU (16 and under) girls' basketball tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana; and,
WHEREAS, she is a member of the Bannister Road Baptist Church; and,
WHEREAS, Kristin is the daughter of Jeff and Thomisa Gilmore, superintendent of park safety for the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, Kristin deserves the highest of praise for her outstanding accomplishment and for representing her school in her athletic endeavors; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Kristin Gilmore upon her achievement of breaking Blue Springs South High School's record for points scored in a single game.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
