Body
WHEREAS, Urban Summit will be hosting its 18th annual conference "Democracy Under Siege: Radical Resistance Required" event on Saturday, November 1, 2025 and has submitted a request for sponsorship in the amount of $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, this sponsorship will allow Jackson County the opportunity to support valuable insights into the State of the Black Community throughout Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, in exchange for its sponsorship, Jackson County will receive advertising and recognition in the event program, website and social media; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the citizens of Jackson County; and,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to issue a check to Urban Summit in the amount of $5,000.00 for the purchase of a sponsorship.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
