INTRODUCED BY Fred Arbanas, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends a Memorandum of Agreement with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and the Missouri State Historical Preservation Office, for the purpose of establishing procedures to address the effects of project operations and lease activities on historic properties within the Blue Springs Lake Archaeological District; and,

WHEREAS, this Memorandum of Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, replaces the Memorandum of Agreement dated May 24, 1982, and provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the current agreement and understanding of the parties; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Memorandum of Agreement with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and the Missouri State Historical Preservation Office.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
