Body
WHEREAS, the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council, will be the host of the Second Annual Table of Faiths Celebration to raise interfaith awareness and operational funds in furtherance of Council programming goals; and,
WHEREAS, as an event sponsor, the County will receive 10 patron tickets, premier seating at the luncheon, County recognition at the luncheon and in the program, and a 1/4 page ad in the program; and,
WHEREAS, said sponsorship is in the best interest of the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Jackson County, Missouri; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature expresses its full support of the Second Annual Table of Faiths Celebration and hereby authorizes the Director of Finance and Purchasing to issue a check to the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council, in the amount of $1,000.00 for a sponsorship of the November 14, 2006 event.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
