Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office desires to enter into an agreement with Varuna Entertainment, Inc., to bolster the Sheriff's Office efforts to combat the rising problem of underage drinking in the County by using television as a tool to educate the general public on the various risks and other issues involved with underage drinking; and,
WHEREAS, Varuna Entertainment, Inc., shall reimburse the County for reasonable and necessary expenses associated with the production of the documentary film footage; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute an agreement with Varuna Entertainment, Inc., in a form to be approved by the County Counselor, at no cost to the County.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
