WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded a grant in the amount of $50,000.00 by R.C. Kemper Charitable Trust, to be used for improvements to the Kemper Outdoor Education Center; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2008 Park Fund be and hereby is made:
